Abstract

In September 2024, Bekasi City experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.34 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.05.
Of the eleven expenditure group indices, ten expenditure group indices experienced y-on-y inflation, and one expenditure group index experienced y-on-y deflation. The expenditure group indices that experienced y-on-y inflation were: food, beverages and tobacco group by 4.6 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.19 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.22 percent; health group by 1.46 percent; transportation group by 0.69 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.04 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 8.57 percent; education group by 2.96 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.13 percent; and personal care and other services group by 9.99 percent. The expenditure group index that experienced deflation was: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.01 percent.
Month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rates for Bekasi City in September 2024 were 0.38 percent and 1.17 percent, respectively.
