Abstract

Of the eleven expenditure group indexes, ten expenditure group indexes experienced y-on-y inflation, and one expenditure group index experienced y-on-y deflation. The index of expenditure groups that experienced inflation were: food, beverage and tobacco group at 7.36 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.78 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.70 percent; health group at 3.52 percent; transportation group by 0.77 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.15 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 8.63 percent; education group at 2.27 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.35 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 7.93 percent. Index The expenditure groups that experienced deflation were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel at 0.26 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Bekasi City in May 2024 are 0.08 percent and 1.51 percent respectively.
