Abstract

Human development in Bekasi City continues to progress, which is indicated by the continued increase in the Bekasi City Human Development Index (IPM). In 2021, Bekasi City's HDI will reach 81.95. This figure increased by 0.45 points compared to the HDI of Bekasi City in 2020 which was 81.50.

The status of human development in Bekasi City reaches a "very high" level, Bekasi City's HDI in 2021 grows by 0.55 percent compared to 2020.

The increase in HDI is indicated by an increase in each of its constituent components. Newborns have a chance to live up to 75.19 years, an increase of 0.18 years compared to the previous year. Children aged 7 years have the opportunity to attend school for 14.10 years, an increase of 0.10 years compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over had an average of 11.31 years of education, an increase of 0.15 years compared to the previous year. Per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached Rp. 15,903 million rupiah in 2021, an increase of Rp. 127 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
