Abstract

In November 2021, Bekasi City experienced inflation of 0.32 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.18. Of the seven CPI monitoring cities in West Java Province, all of them experienced inflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Sukabumi City at 0.57 percent. The lowest inflation was recorded in Bandung at 0.14 percent.

Of the eleven expenditure groups, five expenditure groups experienced inflation, one expenditure group experienced deflation and five expenditure groups experienced no change in index. The highest inflation occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group by 0.88 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant supply group experienced inflation of 0.73 percent; the personal care and other services group experienced an inflation of 0.50 percent; the transportation group experienced inflation of 0.21 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group experienced inflation of 0.19 percent. Deflation occurred in the recreation, sports and culture groups experiencing a deflation of 0.02 percent. The expenditure groups that did not experience changes in the index were the clothing and footwear group; housing, water, electricity and fuel inflation groups; health group; information, communication, and financial services group; education group.
