Abstract
In April 2021, Bekasi
City experienced inflation of 0.13 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI)
of 108.52. Of the seven cities that the CPI monitored in West Java Province, it
was recorded that all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation was
recorded in the City of Tasikmalaya at 0.38 percent. The lowest inflation was
recorded in Bekasi City at 0.13 percent.
Of the eleven
expenditure groups, seven expenditure groups experienced inflation, one
expenditure group experienced deflation, and three expenditure groups
experienced no change in index. The highest inflation occurred in the personal
care and other services group at 0.46 percent; the food and beverage supply
group experienced inflation of 0.37 percent; the health group experienced
inflation of 0.35 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group experienced
inflation of 0.25 percent; clothing and footwear group experienced inflation of
0.17 percent; the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group
experienced inflation of 0.11 percent; the information, communication and
financial services group experienced inflation of 0.03 percent. Deflation
occurred in the recreation, sports and cultural expenditure group by 0.50
percent. Expenditure groups that did not experience a change in index were the
housing, water, electricity and fuel group; transportation group; and education
groups.
